Tzu-Wei Lin

Tzu-Wei Lin is currently undertaking his doctoral study in law at National Chengchi University in Taiwan, looking at the impact of sentencing on the children of criminal defendants. He has been interested in the intersection of criminal law, the family, and gender and sexuality – particularly concerning the necessity and extent of state interventions through criminal punishment – through the critical lenses of human rights treaties and sociology. Lin is also the Director of Legal Affairs of the Taiwan Alliance to End the Death Penalty, having worked on many cases involving the death penalty and with convicts and their families.
