Jwalika Balaji

Jwalika Balaji is a Research Fellow and legislative counsel at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, India. She holds a BA LLB (Hons) degree from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and had read for the Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford, UK. Her research interests revolve around equality law, human rights, family law, specifically focussing on gender and sexuality rights, feminist and queer theory, and the ethics of care. She is currently working on gender and sexuality policy in India, making recommendations to the Government Committee set up after the Supriyo judgement on anti-discrimination measures for queer persons.
